Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GISBIR) Secretary-General Mr Suheyl Demirtas and GISBIR Foreign Relations Commission Member Mr Abdulvahit Simsek attended the Islamic P&I Club’s 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner, which was held at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on the date of 12 November 2014.
Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GISBIR) Secretary-General Mr Suheyl Demirtas and GISBIR Foreign Relations Commission Member Mr Abdulvahit Simsek attended the Organization of the Islamic Shipowners’ Association’s (OISA) 36th Executive Committee and 28th General Assembly Meetings, which were held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on the date of 12 November 2014 and followed by the Islamic P&I Club’s 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner, which was held at the Burj Al Arab Hotel.

A meeting in accordance with demand of the Head of Department Purchasing Agency Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality was hosted by the Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GISBIR) on the date of 12 November 2014.
The meeting aimed at a dialog between the Turkish shipyards and the Head of Department Purchasing Agency in order to build or charter vessels for the incorporate use of the Cityline Ferry Directorate General.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality officials and the representatives of the interested shipyards exchanged ideas regarding the building, chartering and the management of the vessels.

Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GISBIR) Deputy President Mr Orhan TORLAK and the Secretary-General Mr Suheyl Demirtas attended the Business Council Regular General Assembly of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges.
The Regular General Assembly was held on the date of 10 November 2014 in Istanbul with the presence of Mr Ahmet Davutoglu, the Prime Minister and Mr Nihat Zeybekçi, the Minister of Economy.

Mr Ercan Ozokutucu, the Deputy Secretary-General Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GISBIR) and Mrs Mehtap Karahalli, Member of GISBIR Foreign Relations Commission, participated the Workshop MARPOL EK-VI / Ship Energy Efficiency and Technology Transfer between the dates of 3-5 November 2014.
The workshop was coordinated by the Mandate of the Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC) within the Integrated Technical Cooperation Programme (ITCP).

Mr Celal Avar, the Chief Public Prosecutor Istanbul Anadolu Courthouse, Mr Bekir Rayif Aydemir, the Chief Public Prosecutor and the accompanying officials visited (GISBIR) Headquarters on the date of 04 November 2014.
The Delegation from the Istanbul Anadolu Courthouse participated GISBIR Board Meeting held by Mr Murat Kiran, the President GISBIR and GISBIR Board Members.
Following the meeting which was held as an exchange of information, Mr Murat Kiran, the President. presented Mr Celal Avar, the Chief Public Prosecutor Istanbul Anadolu Courthouse a plaque as a remembrance.

Naval Academy Commander Rear Admiral Mesut Ozel visited the Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GISBIR) Headquarters on the date of 04 November 2014.
Rear Admiral Mesut Ozel participated GISBIR Board Meeting held by Mr Murat Kiran, the President GISBIR and GISBIR Board Members.
Rear Admiral expressed their appreciation to GISBIR for sponsoring the redesign of the Naval Academy’s Student Regimental Command Gangway.
Stating the importance of the good relations between GISBIR and the Naval Academy, Rear Admiral Mesut Ozel presented a thank you plaque to Mr Murat Kiran, the President. presented the Rear Admiral a plaque as a remembrance.
