The Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Shipowners Association (OISA) Dr. Abdullatif A. Bin Sultan paid a visit to the Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GISBIR) headquarters on the date of 9 October 2012.

 

Dr. Abdullatif A. Bin Sultan, the Secretary-General OISA, which was established to promote and foster economic co-operation and commercial relations among the Islamic countries and to consolidate their rights in the area of sea transport and freight at international level, attended the Board Meeting of GISBIR, which was chaired by Murat Kıran, the President GISBIR. Having stated that it is necessary for Islamic shipyards and shipping companies to be in productive co-operation mutually, Dr. Abdullatif A. Bin Sultan, the Secretary-General OISA suggested to take steps to establish an international shipyards association aimed at strengthening mutual collaboration.

Murat Kıran, the President GISBIR, presented a plaque to Dr. Bin Sultan, the Secretary-General OISA, as a remembrance of his visit.
