SMM HAMBURG 2012
The Turkish Shipbuilders’ Association (GISBIR) participated in the SMM Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine Technology International Trade in Hamburg, Germany on 4-7 September 2012. Salih Zeki Çakır, Deputy President, Orkun Kalkavan, Vice President, Ufuk Aksoy, Şükrü Fazıl Uzun and Özgür Çilli, Board Members and Süheyl Demirtaş, the Secretary-General with Bülent Akköse, the Deputy Secretary General were present at SMM Hamburg 2012.
On the 3rd day of SMM, the 1st Turkish Shipping and Naval Summit (TMNS) was held. Metin Kalkavan, the Chairman of the Chamber of Shipping, was the moderator of this event, during which the shipping and shipbuilding sector was discussed in all aspects. Süheyl Demirtaş, the Secretary-General, gave a presentation in the TMNS on behalf of GISBIR. 82 guests participated in the presentation on the Turkish and worldwide shipbuilding industry and the presentation won recognition from the participants.
